Daniel on East Village Radio 2/25

Please tune in to East Village Radio (www.eastvillageradio.com) tomorrow, Friday, February 25th at 2 PM EST, as Daniel Glass moderates a discussion about the the creation and rise of the concert business, with Editor-in-Chief of SPIN Magazine Doug Brod, Co-Owner of Bowery Presents Jim Glancy and legendary Agent Marsha Vlasic. They will be playing the classic cuts as they tell the behind-the-scene stories that defined the decades of the New York City scene. They will be discussing the artists, venues, and the risk-taking entrepreneurs who took the concert business from its humble beginnings to multi-million dollar industry of mainstream entertainment. Daniel Glass is Founder/President/CEO of Glassnote Entertainment Group based in New York City, home to a current artist roster that includes Grammy Award winning Phoenix, Mumford & Sons, The Temper Trap, Two Door Cinema Club, and Justin Nozuka. Already well-known at Brooklyn College as one of WBCR’s hottest DJ’s, Glass was hired as the first DJ for the world famous discotheque Regine’s while still in college.

This show is produced by Adam Herzog of Glassnote Entertainment Group. Adam also does A&R at Glassnote and is currently working on new albums for Royal Bangs and GIVERS, in addition to producing this quarterly specialty show.

Doug Brod has been Editor in Chief of SPIN Magazine since 2005. Previously he spent 11 years as an editor at Entertainment Weekly. He is also been a staff writer at Atlantic Records, a segment producer at MTV, and a freelancer for the Village Voice.

Jim Glancy has been a concert promoter for over 20 years and is one of three co-owners from NYC-based concert promoter Bowery Presents.

Marsha Vlasic is senior vice president, concerts for International Creative Management, and represents a celebrated roster of rock and pop acts such as Muse, Ben Folds, Elvis Costello, Iggy Pop, Lou Reed, Moby, Neil Young, Regina Spektor and The Strokes.
