Mumford & Sons Certified Platinum

GRAMMY-NOMINATED MUMFORD & SONS
HIT #1 AT TRIPLE A RADIO

SIGH NO MORE CERTIFIED PLATINUM

“LITTLE LION MAN” CERTIFIED PLATINUM

“THE CAVE” CERTIFIED GOLD

New York, NY - Hot on the heels of their breakthrough performance on the 2011 GRAMMY Awards with Bob Dylan, Glassnote recording Artist Mumford & Sons have been crowned with the #1 spot at Triple A Radio this week with “The Cave”. No strangers to the radio, “The Cave” follows the success of Mumford & Sons’ “Little Lion Man” which claimed the #1 spot at Triple A and Alternative Rock Radio this past Fall. Together, these songs have lead to a record-breaking stay on the CMJ College Radio charts where Mumford & Sons have been charting for 52 weeks straight.

This extraordinary news is amplified by the RIAA certification of their debut album, SIGH NO MORE, and GRAMMY nominated song “Little Lion Man” as Platinum for sales exceeding 1,000,000 respectively in the United States. “The Cave” is not far behind as the RIAA has certified the song as Gold for sales exceeding 500,000 in the United States. SIGH NO MORE has been certified Platinum in Canada, where “The Cave” and “Little Lion Man” are also certified Gold.

Mumford & Sons released SIGH NO MORE in February 2010 on Glassnote Records in North America and have since become the breakout rock band of the year. Released to critical acclaim, SIGH NO MORE has seen glowing reviews from the critics and fans alike. The album entered the Billboard Heatseekers Album chart at an impressive #2 in its first week and continued to steadily climb the Billboard Top 200 where it reached the #2 position in February 2011, exactly one year after it’s release. SIGH NO MORE has since become a mainstay on the Billboard and iTunes Charts where it has spent the past 31 consecutive weeks in the Top 10 on the Overall Album Chart.

After two completely sold out North America tours last year, Mumford & Sons are returning to the American Southwest with their Railroad Revival Tour with Edward Sharpe and the Magnet Zeroes and Old Crow Medicine Show. The unique tour will bring the band to 6 stops over a week this April starting in Oakland, California and wrapping up in New Orleans, Louisiana. Mumford & Sons can also be seen performing at the Coachella, Bonnaroo, Sasquatch and New Orleans Jazz Festivals.

Glassnote is distributed through RED Music in the US and Universal Music Group in Canada.
