Tour dates coming up for TDCC

TWO DOOR CINEMA CLUB
ANNOUNCE SPRING 2011 TOUR

NAMED VH1 YOU OUGHTA KNOW ARTIST

New Remix Album Available Now

New York, NY - Two Door Cinema Club are excited to announce that they will be back in the States for a run of dates this Spring! Currently on a sold out co-headlining tour of North America with Tokyo Police Club, Two Door Cinema Club will make their return to North America on April 6th at First Avenue in Minneapolis, wrapping up at 2011 Coachella Valley Music & Arts Festival on April 16th. The band will also be making a trip to the 2011 SXSW Festival in Austin with a gig at La Zona Rosa on March 15th.

The announcement is amplified by the news that VH1 has handpicked Two Door Cinema Club as their next featured artist for the powerful You Oughta Know artist campaign. The video for their new single, “What You Know”, made its worldwide debut last week on multiple MTV platforms including MTV, MTV2, mtvU and MTV.com. Two Door Cinema Club also brought their dynamic live performance of the song to national television last week they performed the single on Late Night with Jimmy Fallon. Additionally, Two Door Cinema Club has been nominated for two NME Awards for Best New Band and Best Album with Tourist History. The winners will be announced on February 23rd, 2011.

The Northern Ireland based trio recently released their debut album, Tourist History, which was recorded in London at Eastcote Studios and produced by Elliott James (Bloc Party, Noah And The Whale) with a number of tracks mixed by Phillipe Zdar (Phoenix, Justice, Cassius). Tourist History immediately shot up the iTunes chart to number 30 on the overall album chart and maintained the number 7 spot on the alternative chart. Tourist History also made an impressive Top 10 debut on Billboard’s Heatseekers Album Chart. An immediate fan favorite, the album was included in many “Best of 2010” lists including the number 1 spot on the NYLON Magazine Top 20 of 2010, where they state, “It is impossible to listen to Tourist History just once. It is practically impossible to listen to it just once a day. We should know!”

Also available from Two Door Cinema Club is the Tourist History Remix EP . The EP consists of seven remixes of their original songs from their hit debut album Tourist History, including the wildly popular “Undercover Martyn” remix by Passion Pit, which reached the number 1 spot on the Hype Machine in 2010.

ROYAL BANGS - "FLUX OUTSIDE" - OUT MARCH 29th, 2011!

ROYAL BANGS ANNOUNCE RELEASE ‘FLUX OUTSIDE’

ALBUM OUT MARCH 29, 2011 ON GLASSNOTE RECORDS

BAND SET FOR MINI-TOUR, SEE THEM LIVE NOW!

ROYAL BANGS are proud to announce the completion of their new studio album, Flux Outside, for release on Glassnote Records. The album will have a North American release of March 29, 2011. Trading instruments and production duties, band members Chris Rusk, Ryan Schaefer and Sam Stratton recorded the album this August in an old house in their hometown of Knoxville, Tennessee with the help of Scott Minor (Sparklehorse) and his dog, Loretta. After a few weeks of tracking, manipulating, alternately weirding and un-weirding the material, they traveled to the rural western New York studio of Dave Fridmann (Flaming Lips, Sleater Kinney, MGMT), who mixed the album with the band.

In 2006, ROYAL BANGS released their home-recorded and self-produced album We Breed Champions, which caught the attention of Patrick Carney (The Black Keys) who re-issued the album in 2008 on his own Audio Eagle Records. Shortly thereafter, ROYAL BANGS recorded and released 2009’s Let It Beep at Carney’s studio in Akron, Ohio to critical acclaim. After powerful performances at 2010’s Bonnaroo and Lollapalooza Festivals, ROYAL BANGS caught the attention of Glassnote Records where they signed in early September.

ROYAL BANGS hit the road this weekend in Denton, Texas for a run of dates that wrap up with a headlining spot at Public Assembly in Brooklyn, New York on Sunday, January 30th, 2011. ROYAL BANGS will be taking Austin by storm during the 2011 SXSW Festival this March. Stay tuned for more information regarding locations and times.
